about

One of the club in Asbury Park "Chico house of Jazz" sold chicken but it was nasty. The people love this song... but the owner hated it. The band would look at me in fear knowing this could be the night we play there and get fired... We did the club closed.

Taste like Chicken

Words/Music Danny Petroni Copyright @2014 All rights reserved

Taste like Chicken, but it t'aint
As juicy as a melon, but it ain't
As Sweet as a peach with out the pit
Baby, I'm talking about your sweet lips
I am not a connoisseur, no no no
Non Parlez vous frances?
When I see ya walking in this club, shaking it that way

Taste like Chicken, but it t’aint
As juicy as a melon, but it ain't
As Sweet as any red wine
Twice as fine
I am not a connoisseur, no no no
Non Parlez vous frances?
When I see ya walking in this club, shaking it that way

The Blue Project Asbury Park, New Jersey

The Blue Project, Danny Petroni band and its self-titled first release, began as a reaction to hurricane Sandy. Work for Jersey Shore musicians was sparse after Sandy’s devastation: “Gigs cancelled, venues damaged, all music productions stopped in the immediate area.” Petroni’s idea was to create some work for local musicians with a locally produced blues record using his own original compositions ... more
